Cocaine comes from the leaves of coca, a plant that grows in some mountainous countries in South America.

Cocaine is a drug which speeds the body up and increases feelings of confidence. Cocaine is considered to be a drug because when taken into the body it changes the way you think, feel or behave. A drug is any substance which does this. Drugs that speed the body up are called stimulants.
